Rupert Rhodd, Ph.D.

Rupert Rhodd, Ph.D.Rupert Rhodd completed undergraduate studies in Economics at the University of the West Indies and earned a doctorate in economics from Fordham University in New York City. As a economist and statistician, he has used his training to assist lawyers in recovering lost income through injuries and has assisted public sector firms with the estimation of benefits and costs of various projects. Dr. Rhodd and his partner have also conducted economic impact analysis.

Dr. Rhodd is an associate professor of economics at Florida Atlantic University where he teaches courses in International Economics, Applied Macro Economics, Econometrics, and Development Economics. His research in the areas of International Economic Development, International Monetary Economics, Macro-economics, and Caribbean & Latin American Economics, has appeared in many journals including the Journal of International Development, the Journal of Policy Modeling, Atlantic Economic Journal, Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance, the Journal of Third World Studies, Southern Economic Journal, Applied Economics, and Applied Economic Letters.

Sandra Schrouder, Ph.D.

Sandra Schrouder, Ph.D.Sandra Schrouder has over twenty years experience in business and community development, most of which have been spent advising small businesses and educational institutions. As expert in the area of public administration and public policy, Dr. Schrouder currently shares her knowledge with students at Barry University where she is an assistant professor of public administration. Dr. Schrouder's teaching responsibilities include Research Methods, Program Evaluation, Planning and Growth Management, and Public Management.  Dr. Schrouder earned her baccalaureate degree in History and Social Sciences from the University of the West Indies, a Masters in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University and a Doctorate in Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University.

Dr. Schrouder’s research has been published by many journals including Development in Practice, the Journal of Economics and Finance Education, Applied Economic Letters, and the International Review of Economics Education. Dr. Rhodd and Dr. Schrouder are two of the three authors who wrote the book on economic development titled Contemporary Issues in the Development of Caribbean Economies, that was published in 2007.

Dr. Schrouder is very active in the community. She is a member of the Community Relations Council of North Broward Hospital, and the co-editor of the Coalition Monthly, a newsletter for Jamaican Alumni Associations in the Southern United States, and the University of the West Indies Alumni Association (Florida Chapter) Newsletter. She is a member of the American Society for Public Administrators and the American Political Science Association.
